Founded in 1999, TMCWorks is a Seattle based theater production company dedicated to the creation, production, and development of quality theater performances and CDs in combination with philanthropy.
In March 2000, TMCWorks made its debut in the theatre scene in the Seattle Metropolitan area with the play A...My Name Will Always Be Alice, a benefit for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. At the same time, the cast recorded a CD-Rom with 12 original songs written by David A. Austin and the artwork of 7 artists all inspired by women, strength, breast cancer and survivorship, again to benefit the Komen Foundation.
TMCWorks also produced an original musical version of A Christmas Carol written by David A. Austin. The CD features many of Seattle's most talented singing artists and will be available for this holiday season. Proceeds will benefit the Komen Foundation as well as providing seed money for future theatre productions.
In the summer of 2001, TMCWorks teamed up with 2nd Chances Productions to present Broadway's Greatest Maladies at the Crepe de Paris in Seattle, WA to critical acclaim.
TMCWorks has recently produced a new CD featuring the vocal talents of Katie Tomlinson. She displays her stunning range on her new CD Original Passion. It's combination of pop and musical theatre styles create a provocative mix of both playfulness and soaring emotion. Proceeds from the sale of Original Passion also benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
In the summer of 2002, TMCWorks was proud to produce three shows: A Perfect Relationship at the Crepe de Paris, the one woman show Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill, also at the Crepe de Paris, and Heart, Don't Fail Me Now, a one woman show at Thumpers.
Most recently, TMCWorks produced the touching CD of the new musical, Every Little Vow. David Austin's story follows three couples, each of whom represents one of the three traditional wedding vows: For richer, for poorer; In sickness and in health; for better or for worse. We follow these 6 people through meeting, dating, the wedding and then how they deal with their particular vow. Be prepared to laugh and cry with these stories of people just like us. As always, sales from this cd benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
